This book provides information on how exceptional learners are present in every school and at all grade levels. These exceptional learners include students with disabilities, gifted and twice-exceptionalities. Educational leaders and educators must know the needs, legal requirements and best practices in serving these students. Each chapter presents different elements of the what, why, and how concerning the needs of exceptional learners and supports that must be present to help them grow to reach their potential. At the conclusion of each chapter are several suggested discussion questions to help continue the ideas shared and to help build connections between the information in the text and the application to practice as an educational leader or educator.
