David Roberts brings nearly four decades of experience in business education and operations management to this workbook. He holds a Master of Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Saskatchewan, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Health Care Administration.
Since 2006, David has served as a full-time Business and Management Instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, where he teaches courses ranging from Operations Management and Project Management to Corporate Finance and Statistics. He concurrently holds a sessional appointment in Operations Management at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University, where he delivers graduate and undergraduate-level instruction in supply chain management, project procurement, and logistics. His teaching career also spans Northern Lakes College, the University of Lethbridge, and DeVry University.
Prior to his academic career, David held executive leadership roles in healthcare administration across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, giving him a grounded, real-world perspective that informs his applied approach to operations and supply chain education.
David is a prolific contributor to business education publishing. He has served as a subject matter expert and technical reviewer for major publishers including McGraw-Hill and Pearson on titles covering corporate finance, supply chain management, economics, and personal finance. This workbook; spanning over 1,000 pages, 2,000 worked examples, and 23 supply chain topics; represents the culmination of his commitment to making operations management accessible, practical, and deeply applicable for students and practitioners alike.
