Many lab manuals cover more material than what can be covered in a typical semester. This book was written specifically to cover the plant anatomy and diversity portions of a semester-long course in plant science. Some minor changes have been made in the text since the second edition. Many of the images are new and are now available in color. In addition, a new lab on plant propagation has been added. The overall goal of this lab manual is to help students not only understand concepts and terminology, but also develop an appreciation for the complexity of plants.
