Physical Science

Physical Science focuses on developing practical problem-solving approaches, throughout its subject areas. It supplies good background for students for later, full-semester chemistry courses. Each chapter has a variety of worked examples; and underlying practical algebra and calculator techniques.

The text reflects much of the “teaching” that students have supplied to the instructors, over the years. Particularly in math background, community college student skills can range from more than sufficient to “very rusty.” The text relates to “lessons learned” from students by keeping its focus on problem solving with strong conceptual descriptions and relevant background.
