Physics of Energy Essentials is a Primer in Physics that uses energy as a unifying principle and a leading thread. The book makes emphasis on fundamental concepts like matter, space and time, particle and motion, mass and force, wave, energy and field, which are at the core of what is called “the physical frame of the world”. Those important concepts are built progressively through the chapters using a predominant inductiveabductive style, but without diminishing the importance of deductive thinking.
Physics of Energy Essentials has been conceived as a textbook for Wind Energy students at Texas Tech University who are enrolled in the freshman mandatory course Fundamentals of Power Conversion (WE 1311), although it might also be used as the first contact with energy problems by students of science and engineering.
