David Sherrill

Mr. David J. Sherrill is a distinguished Land Surveyor, Author, and Educator with a wealth of experience. He holds licenses as a Professional Land Surveyor in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Nebraska, and boasts over 50 years of combined experience in both private and public surveying. For 19 years, he has served as a faculty member at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), where he currently directs the Surveying and Geomatics program. Additionally, he is a former chair of the Land Surveying Licensing Board for the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.

Mr. Sherrill has contributed extensively to the field through numerous articles on surveying education and practice, published in various multi-state and national professional outlets. His excellence has been recognized with multiple prestigious awards from both National (NSPS) and State Societies (IPLSA, MSPS), as well as accolades from SIUE. Notably, he was named Surveyor of the Year in 2024 by the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association.

Sharon Sherrill

Sharon Sherrill is a Missouri Professional Land Surveyor and a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in Design, engineering, and land surveying. Her career spans private practice with leading architectural, engineering, and surveying firms. Sharon is presently the President of Sherrill Associates, Inc., a Professional Engineering, Land Surveying, and Construction Management Firm. Her expertise is grounded in both technical excellence and strategic project leadership.

John Cabage

Dr. John Cabage was a licensed professional engineer, author, and educator with experience in the civil design, construction, and surveying fields. He has held professional engineering licenses in Tennessee, Mississippi, New York, Arkansas, and Louisiana. For the last eleven years he has taught fundamentals of surveying and surveying computations classes at Eastern Illinois University and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). He is currently the Department Faculty Chair for the Surveying and Geomatics and the Construction Management programs at SIUE.

Dr. Cabage has contributed to the surveying field with faculty assistance by promoting and establishing a four-year surveying program at SIUE. These efforts are recognized by the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association and the Missouri Surveying Professional Association.
