Dr. Dharma Jairam is the Chair of the Department of Psychology and Associate Professor at Fort Hays State University (FHSU). His primary research is focused on improving human learning, academic achievement, and student retention. Dr. Jairam's research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. Prior to joining the faculty at FHSU, Dr. Jairam was a Lead Academic Coordinator, tenured Associate Professor, and Director of the Applied Research Center at Morningside University. He was also an Assistant Professor for Penn State University. Dr. Jairam earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Jairam has also worked as a counselor, behavioral specialist, and psychometrist.
