Quantitative Literacy for the 21st Century

Quantitative Literacy for the 21st Century involves using mathematical methods across a wide variety of disciplines that are relevant today. 

To be able to digest the numbers found in the news, across websites, in publications, and even on social media platforms, we must be mathematically literate. To process the data and statistics we see, the first step is to understand the mathematical concepts underlying these numbers. 

The purpose of this book is to cover in a real-world setting the concepts found in analyzing small and large numbers, finance, statistics, and functions. We then look back in history to see how mathematicians of the past explored quantitative literacy in their day.
