The Shepherd Crook is a metaphor for tacit and explicit knowledge skills in graphic arts. The skills acquired are to guide a given demographics or target audience. The first edition of this publication is a journey to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (land of creativity). Information designer, entrepreneur, and educator Dyshann Anderson's skills have developed over two decades in practice, and he will narrate the Introduction to Computer Graphics course. The publication includes lessons and projects with written short stories introducing artists and their disciplines.
This book presents 16 weeks of foundation courses and is an introduction to creating digital art using industry-standard software and hardware. Image manipulation, vector design, and 3D visualization are just a few things introduced to students throughout the book. This designed course gives an intensive step-by-step overview of how graphics are created on the Apple computer using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding and learn an appreciation of graphic design as a form of art, demonstrate an ability to use design principles, and integrate them into projects. Students will develop creative strategies and build on problem-solving techniques. All students will complete the course with a body of work demonstrating computer software knowledge and a basic sense of design.
