The purpose of Short Game Made Simple is to help you develop a great short game by providing you with the tools necessary to do so. This text explains the importance of each area of the short game, provide drills that will help you develop solid mechanics and feel, and include tools to help you evaluate your improvement such as skills test, games, and stat sheets.
For professionals, the short game represents about 50 percent of the game and for amateurs as much as 80 percent. It’s much easier to become proficient at the short game than it is to become a great ball striker. It requires no certain physical attributes such as strength, speed, height, etc., thus it serves as a great equalizer. Improving your short game is by far the quickest and easiest way to lower your scores and have more fun playing golf.
