Niki Weller

Dr. Niki Weller is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Indiana University Kokomo, specializing in adolescent risky behaviors, including drug use and sexual health. Her research examines how sociodemographic factors influence exposure to and protection from deviant behaviors among youth populations. Dr. Weller teaches courses at the intersection of health and society, including Social Aspects of Health and Medicine, Drug Abuse in Society, and Sociology of Mental Illness. She is a multiple recipient of teaching excellence awards and employs experiential learning approaches in her pedagogy.
