Steven Taylor

Steve Taylor is a Senior Instructor and, since 2008, the Director of Internships for the Sport and Entertainment Management Department at the University of South Carolina. He has led student experiential learning classes to the European Athletics Championships, the Commonwealth Games, two Olympic Games, the Kentucky Derby, and the Firefly Music Festival to name a few.

Steve and his wife Kristen have three children and six grandchildren and live in Lexington, SC.

Matthew Garrett

Matt Garrett is a professor of sport management at Loras College. His students won ten academic case study championships at national conferences in the past decade. He supervises the internship program and his students have pursued opportunities in multiple industry segments and across the globe. He has also authored journal articles on the job trajectory for sport management graduates.

Garrett is a member of the City of Dubuque’s Park and Leisure Commission and he has previous experience as president of Dubuque Little League and as a women’s basketball coach at Blackburn College. He and his wife Cheryl have three kids and live in Dubuque.
