Supply Chain Simplified is an industry-agnostic indispensable read. Dr. Easterling's brilliant authoring of the content, with graphical examples, will help both supply chain students and professionals. In industries such as healthcare delivery where operating margins are thin, optimizing supply chain can not only help drive revenue but also improve patient safety and clinician engagement. I emphatically recommend this book to professionals who want to have a strong foundational knowledge of supply chain.

"I teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to Chinese students to prepare them for various tests to allow them to come to the United States to pursue their MBA. One portion of the TOEFL test they have to complete is the Listening portion. I began using Supply Chain Simplified to help them with their comprehension skills for the test. I gave 2 of my students, who are both Marketing students, the option of using Supply Chain Simplified, or using a Marketing Management textbook written by a large education publishing company. Knowing that they may not have significant background knowledge in Supply Chain Management, I explained to them that Dr. Kirby Easterling's book may have content that they are unfamiliar with, but it is easily comprehendible. Using Supply Chain Simplified allows me to gradually introduce them to English written textbooks and develop their comprehension skills. So far, one of my students has not only expanded her vocabulary learning unfamiliar words with this book but has also enhanced her comprehension skills with only 2 one-hour sessions working on comprehension. I plan to continue using Supply Chain Simplified to help further develop their abilities and hopefully improve their TOEFL test scores."

"Supply Chain Simplified has made a tremendous impact on my classroom performance. I have specifically enjoyed reading this book as an input to my Supply Chain Planning course. Chapter 13 'Lean' really helped with my understanding and interpretation of supply chain management concepts and how to identify and improve underlying problems that cause companies to naively carry high levels of inventory."
Taylor K.
"A company's supply chain strategy is critical for business success in today's fast-paced globalized environment. This book helped me understand that a well-designed and efficiently executed strategy can not only reduce costs and improve operational efficiency but also increase customer satisfaction and drive business growth. It is so important to meet changing market demands, mitigate risks, and capitalize on new opportunities, and strategies help a business do this."
Elisa O.
"Dr. Easterling's Supply Chain Simplified book has helped me understand supply chain concepts so much more than reading a traditional college textbook. One of my biggest takeaways from the book is the simple explanation of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)- that being sourcing professionals should never make buying decisions on price alone, but rather a host of relevant variables. This is not only important in supply chain, but also in life!"
Peyton H.
"Supply Chain Simplified helps students enjoy learning about supply chain. The simplicity makes understanding the content so much easier which enhances learning. This book also makes a lot of students realize that supply chain might be a path they want to take."

"Supply Chain Simplified truly lives up to its name. As a supply chain major, this book has made it very easy to understand important and complicated concepts that I will use for the rest of my career. Reading this book before a standard textbook has been crucial to my success this academic year."
Benjamin M.
"Supply Chain Simplified has made many complex concepts much easier for me to understand. I particularly like the simplicity in explaining the differences between job shops, batch, repetitive, and continuous manufacturing processes. I have enjoyed using this book in my Supply Chain Management course this semester and expect I’ll use it many times throughout my upcoming career."
Meredith W.
"I’m constantly referencing Supply Chain Simplified in all my supply chain courses. I particularly like the ‘Integration’ chapter as it highlights tons of supply chain concepts internally and externally. I can’t recommend this book enough. This is definitely a book I’m keeping after graduation.”

"While every chapter in Supply Chain Simplified provided useful information, Chapter 15 - Analytics proved to be a pivotal one for my supply chain learning journey. Both Pareto Analysis and ABC analysis, which are discussed and taught in this chapter, are tools I find myself using weekly as a Demand Planning Analyst. Chapter 15 is a must read for all supply chain professionals!"

"While the entirety of Supply Chain Simplified is beneficial for all experience levels, I find the Planning chapter particularly important. Dr. Easterling mentions that “A plan is the plan until another plan is warranted” and this is crucial for supply chain professionals to understand. The sales or demand plan is the spark that ignites the entire supply chain process – so when it changes, the rest of the supply chain will need to be flexible. By understanding that planning is a dynamic process, supply chain professionals can make more insightful decisions."
