Ghassan Tarakji is a Consulting Engineer, a Professor of Civil Engineering at San Francisco State University, and a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the American University of Beirut, a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. degree from Clemson University. All his degrees are in Civil Engineering. Dr. Tarakji has taught surveying at San Francisco State University for over thirty years, and has utilized in his work the full spectrum of surveying equipment from the optical models to the latest electromagnetic and satellite varieties.
