Interpersonal communication is fundamental in our social life. Even in today’s world, where Social Networking Services such as Facebook and Twitter have changed the way we communicate, face-to-face interaction still plays an essential role. Unfortunately, the recent pandemic of the novel coronavirus infection has reminded us of how often we communicate face-to-face with diverse people, which contributed to the rapid spread of the virus. Also, by having an online meeting that is supposed to be an alternative to face-to-face meetings, we realize that such online systems cannot fully compensate for what we need in our communication. How many of you have ever experienced fatigue caused by online meetings during the quarantine period? After all, face-to-face is still the “gold standard” in our daily communication and helps the smooth exchange of several messages through multiple channels.
