Fisnik “Nick” Demaj was born in Kosovo and arrived in the United States as a war refugee in 1999. He became a naturalized American citizen in 2004. Nick lives with his wife and two children in Southern California. He is a dedicated English teacher, educator, community activist, and educational consultant. His passion for teaching led him to leave his position as a peace office in Southern California in 2014 to pursue a career in education. Nick plans to continue teaching non-native speakers English and writing fiction and nonfiction books.
