I liked the questions throughout the chapters. It helped me to stay focus on what was important and think further.
Taylor Busch, Student, CSU Stanislaus

The biggest thing I enjoy about the book is that there are practical examples and information for new teachers...it isn't just the ideology and theories.
Nicholas Aprile, Student, CSU Stanislaus

I enjoyed reading the text because it felt intuitive in its formatting, digestible as a reader looking for concrete ideas, as opposed to inapplicable theoretical research.
Jim Ly, Prescott Junior High

The book has been helpful in providing insight and strategies for teaching. It is well written and clear with the activities added in.
Natalie Gomez, Student, CSU Stanislaus

This is one of the books that I am going to put in my teacher toolbox. I believe this book helped me understand what a teacher goes through the first years of teaching! Overall, great book for new teachers.
Student, CSU Stanislaus

Thrive, Not Survive provides lots of valuable information without the need of reading tons of pages. It is straight to the point!
Erik Herrada, Student, CSU Stanislaus

My experience with Thrive, Not Survive was an excellent one.  I enjoyed the discussions that were a part of the reading.  I also felt that everything that I read was relevant to what I see in the classroom.
Lucy Borba, Student, CSU Stanislaus

One of the best books I have ever read in regards to education. Extremely informative and focused on giving new teachers the necessary tools to really thrive in this beautiful profession!

I love the video portion of Thrive, Not Survive! It was a great resource for learning about students experiencing adversity.
