Mr. Benikov is a criminal defense lawyer, law professor, author, international lecturer, and podcast host. Mr. Benikov opened The Benikov Law Firm as soon as he graduated from law school and has run the practice since 2009. The Firm focuses exclusively on criminal defense, and DUI defense. The Benikov Law Firm has handled thousands of criminal matters in Arizona. Mr. Benikov has also served as Chief Public Defender, and Special Prosecutor and Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore.
Mr. Benikov has received numerous awards from lawyer recognition associations including Super Lawyers, American Trial Lawyers, Phoenix Magazine and Martindale-Hubell, AVVO, Phoenix Top Lawyers, and America’s Best Lawyers. Mr. Benikov has been an adjunct professor at Arizona Summit Law School, and St. Francis Law Schools, and Grand Canyon University where he has taught numerous classes.
Mr. Benikov has authored four legal books, and one non-legal book. His new book How To Start a Law Practice, was published by Carolina Academic Press in 2016. His books have been required reading in many law schools across the country including University of Texas Law School, Loyola Law School, Western Michigan School of Law, Charlotte Law School, Summit Law School, and Florida Coastal Law School. Mr. Benikov’s Client Management for Lawyers title was translated into Mandarin by a major Beijing publisher for the Chinese market.
Mr. Benikov has had three law review articles published, as well as many articles for legal magazines on various subjects. Mr. Benikov has lectured nationally and internationally in places such as China, Dubai, Japan, Uganda, and Slovakia.
