Unilateral Union: Obsessive Relational Intrusion and Stalking in a Romantic Context

Abstract

Alex and Anna, now 27 and 26 years old, respectively, worked together in the information systems division of a large insurance company. After knowing each other at a distance for about a year, they were both assigned to work on a large development project. Alex and Anna enjoyed working together, and, about six months into the development project they started dating. That was almost two years ago. Now, they don’t speak to one another and each is extremely uncomfortable if they run into the other. In their own words, Alex and Anna each provide a perspective on what happened between them, and why.
