Neil Gonsalves

Neil Gonsalves is an Indian-born Canadian immigrant who grew up in Dubai, U.A.E. and moved to Canada in 1995. He is a post-secondary educator, TEDx speaker, educational consultant and a newspaper columnist.

He is a published author and a featured columnist for Metroland Media Group— Durham Division; as a freelance contributor he was written for CBC News—First Person. —He was a nominee for the TVO 2010 Best Lecturer in Ontario, Canada award.

Prior to entering academia, he was the Senior Manager of Staffing and Development for the Toronto branch of a publicly traded security integrator. Neil served on a National Advisory Board funded by Human Resource and Skills Development Canada, working on enhancing literacy levels, an area that is particularly close to this heart.

He is a passionate advocate for new immigrant integration, and offers his writing in support of viewpoint diversity and critical discourse. He is a regular contributor to the Substack publication ‘Seeking Veritas by The Professor, The Poet & Friends’
