Steven Ross Murray

Dr. Steven Ross Murray is the Director of the Health and Wellness minor and the Director of the Physical Education Program at the University of California, Berkeley. He has written over 150 articles for academic and medical journals and other periodicals. His research interests are in health and wellness and sport history, particularly sport in antiquity. He is an official finisher of numerous road races and other multi-sport events, including the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Kristin Heumann

Dr. Kristin J. Heumann is an Associate Professor and the Director of Health and Wellness in the Department of Kinesiology at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. Her research is focused on the prevention of disease through physical activity, the effects of body composition on health, wellness, and human performance, as well as methods to optimize sport performance. She serves on various committees for the National Strength and Conditioning Association and in her free time enjoys teaching Zumba, hiking, and trying all kinds of new workout styles.
