Steven Ross Murray

Dr. Steven Ross Murray is a Professor in and former Head of the Department of Kinesiology at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. He has a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of North Alabama, a master's degree in wellness and fitness, and a doctoral degree in physical education from Middle Tennessee State University.

He has written numerous journal articles on sports and wellness for a variety of publications, including Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, The Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine, The Physician and Sportsmedicine, Journal of Athletic Training, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and Nikephoros. He is the author of two books, Wellness for Life and Fitness Walking.

Dr. Murray practices wellness in his own life; he is an avid cyclist and runner, and has even completed an Ironman® triathlon.
