In less than twenty years, the public has forced healthcare to change. Healthcare is no longer conventional. Alternative healthcare is no longer alternative. Alternative healthcare has become mainstream and metamorphosed into what we know today as Integrative Healthcare. The public continues to sway healthcare as patients are more active in their care. They are choosing herbal medicines over prescriptions or at least taking both. Professionals are challenged to keep up.
However, many professionals blindly follow a failing healthcare system that continues to follow the conventional mindset (suppress illness, passive patient involvement) despite their focus on prevention, health & well-being. Patients find themselves teaching their healthcare professionals about their herbal medicines. If we continue to pass out prescriptions to suppress illnesses, we have not changed our mindset. Changing our mindset involves changing it. This book offers the reader an opportunity to see what is missing from their drug books.
