Julia So

Julia W. So is Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Social Sciences at the Valencia Campus of the University of New Mexico. Before arriving at New Mexico, she was director of the Rising Star Scholarship Program – a $30-million privately funded nationally recognized scholarship program – for the Dallas College (previously known as the Dallas County Community College District) in Texas. She holds a PH.D. in Public Policy and Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
