Bob Dole once said, “Why me I demanded! Maybe it was all part of a plan. A test of endurance, strength, and faith.” Often when students hear they will be giving a speech or presentations, they immediately ask themselves, “Why me!”
The purpose of “Public Speaking in Everyday Life” is to encourage students to become actively engaged in communication. The book is designed to provide students with engaging activities that promote verbal and nonverbal communication skills. Further, this workbook provides speeches that prepare students to speak in everyday presentations and places. Finally, grading rubrics for students and peer evaluations are present. By the end of the workbook, students should be able to endure speeches with strength and have faith in their new found speaking abilities.
