Miles M. Hamby, PhD, is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. His early career included flying as a pilot for the Air Force and three major airlines. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Public Administration Degree from North Carolina State University and his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Maryland, College of Education. His career in Academia has included the graduate, undergraduate, and doctoral faculty of Strayer University, Argosy University, Baltimore International College (a culinary arts school, and, as he likes to quip, it wasn’t the airlines but the food was better!), American College of Commerce & Technology, Northern Virginia Community College, Anne Arundel Community College, Stratford University, University of Northern Virginia, and others. Beyond teaching, Dr. Hamby has also served as Director of Institutional Research for Baltimore International College, Dean of Institutional Research and Assessment for Strayer University, and Director of Institutional Research for American College of Commerce & Technology. He continues to serve private clients as an outside consultant on doctoral dissertations and research articles.
