ADA Title II Update
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued a final rule requiring public entities to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for all digital content. This includes websites, mobile applications, and all electronic documents (including PDFs).
Key Compliance Deadlines:
- April 24, 2026 – Public entities serving 50,000 or more individuals
- April 26, 2027 – Public entities serving fewer than 50,000 individuals and special districts
