This book is a sequel of Applied Engineering Experiments. The objective of the selected advanced engineering experiments is to develop student skills to a higher level in inquiry, learning, professional development, and personal growth in their formation into an engineer. Topics are arranged into the following categories: advanced metrology, advanced behavior of materials, advanced techniques for engineering experimentation, renewable energy, aerodynamics, and advanced product design and prototype.
Each experiment is presented in a concise manner, starting with the information that instructors and students can use to successfully conduct an experiment and write an experimental report. Addenda are included for each experiment for additional information such as data sheet, theoretical background for the experiment, or more detailed instructions for some specific procedures of the experiment. Suggestions for helping distance learning students are provided. To help students improve their technical writing skills, the second part of this book provides some practical guidance on writing a good experimental report.
