With over twenty-four years of experience working with two of the largest general contractors in the United States, Matt O’Malley has worked on some of the largest and most complex commercial construction projects in the country. For more than fifteen years, Matt has taught courses on construction project delivery at The University of Virginia, University of Maryland, and Georgetown University.
Matthew O'Malley
Matt O’Malley has 24 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, having worked for two of the largest general contractors in the United States.
Throughout his career, he has held roles in project management, estimating, and preconstruction. His responsibilities have included business development, client relationships, and preconstruction services for various projects in the Washington, DC area and nationwide. These projects encompass work for commercial real estate developers, federal and civic entities, data centers, and healthcare facilities.
Matt earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia, an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Science in Real Estate from The Johns Hopkins University.
He is committed to education, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses for over 15 years. During this time, he has taught more than 40 courses in construction management and real estate development. Matt is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Virginia School of Engineering, the University of Maryland School of Architecture, and Georgetown University’s Real Estate program.
Matt resides in Potomac, MD, with his wife and two children.
