Elementary General Physics I: Algebra based College Physics I authored by Moses Ntam is an educational text designed for foundational physics education. The first edition, published in 2023, comprises 126 pages and is available in both print and electronic formats. The curriculum within is organized into a series of chapters that introduce students to the core principles of physics, starting with the fundamentals of scientific inquiry and measurement. It progresses through detailed explorations of kinematics in one and two dimensions, the application of Newton's laws of motion, the concepts of rotational kinematics and universal gravitation, and discussions on work, energy, and power. The final chapter delves into special topics such as temperature, heat, phase change, calorimetry, statics and equilibrium, fluids, density, pressure, and buoyancy, providing a comprehensive overview of general physics for students engaging with the subject at the college level.

Ntam
Dr. Ntam received his Ph.D. in Computational Physics in 2012 from Auburn University, where his dissertation explored the lattice thermal conductivity of crystals and earth minerals at high temperatures and pressures. Prior to this, he earned his M.S. in Physics from the same esteemed institution in 2009. His academic journey began in Cameroon at the University of Buea, where he graduated with First Class Honors in Physics, minoring in Computer Science, in 2004.
Dr. Moses Ntam is faculty member of the Physics Department at Tuskegee University, where he has been building minds and shaping futures since 2012. Currently, Dr. Ntam also holds the position of interim Executive Director of the Office of Distance Education and Online Learning (ODEOL), ensuring the systematic, organized, and high-quality delivery of online programs.
A trusted leader and seasoned professional in higher education, Dr. Ntam boasts over a decade of teaching experience in varied modes - face-to-face, hyflex, and fully asynchronous. Dr. Ntam is dedicated to faculty development as evidenced by his seven years of service as ODEOL faculty coordinator, mentoring and training faculty in the transition to hybrid, hyflex, or fully online instruction. He has served as a Quality Matters Coordinator (QMC) for Tuskegee University for over three years, during which he's been instrumental in validating the design of online courses to ensure quality learning experiences.
With the COVID-19 pandemic changing the face of education, Dr. Ntam proactively coordinated fast-track training workshops to transition all instruction at Tuskegee University to remote delivery, offering crucial virtual support to faculty, staff, and students.
As the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI, Dr. Ntam has successfully secured and managed externally funded grants totaling over $2 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to support mentoring, retention and persistence in the STEM disciplines and preparing high school students for college.
Dr. Ntam is married to Dr. Folashade Ntam, together they are the proud parents of two sons named Joseph Boolikeze and David Doolikeze, and a daughter named Peace Afookeze.
