Robert “Be-Bop” Grabowski is an Adjunct Professor of Music History and Jazz at Florida International University, where he has taught jazz studies for more than 29 years. An educator, author, bassist, composer, arranger, audio engineer, and visual artist, he specializes in jazz history and performance. Grabowski authored The Evolution of Jazz in America and has produced major jazz events, including the FIU Jazz Festival and National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters programs. He has recorded multiple albums, performed with renowned musicians, hosted jazz radio programs, and presented lectures and educational programs throughout South Florida. He holds a Master of Music Education with an emphasis in Jazz Studies from FIU and a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Conducting from the University of Miami.
