The Revelation of American Government and Texas Politics gives readers a simple but more concrete knowledge of how American Government and Texas Politics operate. Too many traditional political science and government textbooks spend excessive time on concepts, phrases, and paradigms that are really not relevant to the average American citizen’s life. In fact, several of these texts appear to be written to impress professors and their peers more than to help the American Citizenry understand governmental actions and events. Also, traditional textbooks have a tendency only to focus on the institutions of government, thus leaving out the other aspects of government that affect one’s life. The Revelation of American Government and Texas Politics seeks to ratify these situations.
This small piece is designed to do the following:
- Give the readers a more comprehensive analysis of American Government and Texas Politics,
- Give the readers theories and analyses that have not only applied in the past, but also apply today,
- Teach the readers not just about the institutions of government, but how politics applies to their day-to-day lives,
- Teach the readers the art of intellectualism.
The Revelation of American Government and Texas Politics does not embrace any particular ideological perspective; nor does it attempt to make the readers liberals or conservatives, or Democrats or Republicans. The fundamental purpose of this book is to attempt to tell the truth about the operation of American Government and Texas Politics with very minimal romanticism.
