VibeΣ: Poetry for Real Life Situations is a poetic exploration penned by an author whose journey into the world of poetry remains unmarked by traditional academic laurels or recognition. With no formal background in poetry, the writer delves deep into the uncharted territories of the mind, revealing an intriguing hypothesis: poetry is a deeply subjective and personal art form, unrestricted by the conventional metrics of right or wrong. This book is a raw and intimate reflection of life’s complexities as experienced through the author’s own eyes, using poetry as both a mirror peering into the soul and a window opening onto new perspectives. The collection probes into the essential elements of existence -health, family, and society –offering poems that act as subtle prompts to continually assess our surroundings as a means of survival. Accompanied by artwork that visually echoes the themes of the verses, this book is not just a reading experience but an invitation to perceive and engage with the world anew.

Witherspoon Ph.D. received her B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in Theater from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, M.A. in Communication Studies from Wichita State University, and Ph.D. in Leadership and Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration from Barry University. She has been a full-time college professor for prestigious brick and mortar institutions in both the private and public sector of higher education for a couple of decades, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in several disciplines (i.e., communication, entertainment, leadership, education, research, and ethics). Her repertoire of qualifications were enhanced significantly when she received my initial Dissertation Chair Certification in 2009; therefore, she has been successfully teaching dissertation research courses and graduating students for some time now. She's presented at professional conferences and published in several academic journals on numerous issues pertaining to higher education. On a more personal basis, her hobbies include interior design, reading, and motivational speaking. She is married with two children. She firmly believes in transformational leadership. She is constantly evolving on a personal and professional level as she works alongside other individuals employed by an organization; and, Miami Dade College has and will continue to provide an educational platform to assist her with staying on the revolutionary path to develop professionally, personally, and spiritually.
