Grab your popcorn, open the curtains, and get ready for a show because it’s employee spotlight time! Who’s this month’s star? None other than Kim Cueno!

Kim is an Administrative Assistant in Kendall Hunt’s Higher Education Division. She further explains, “I support ten author Account Managers.  I assist them with the day-to-day managing and supporting many of our authors.”

Marineau, Catherine

Catherine Marienau, PhD, has worked with adult learners in individualized, competency-based (i.e., experience-based) programs at undergraduate and graduate levels for many decades. Currently, she is a full-time faculty member with the School for New Learning at DePaul University where she mentors and teaches graduate students and coordinates the Master of Arts in Educating Adults program.

Younger, Donna

For over thirty years, Donna Younger, EdD, has served as a practitioner, consultant, and researcher in the field of adult human development and learning. Beginning with her doctoral work at the University of Memphis with Dr. Art Chickering, she focused on evaluating and developing learning environments that work best to support adult learning. As a faculty member at the School for New Learning, DePaul University, Donna taught and mentored hundreds of adult learners and served as Director of Undergraduate Programs.

In Preparing the Way: Teaching ELs in the PreK -12 Classroom” (3rd Ed.), the authors talk about a student named Peyton who speaks several languages. Her grandmother speaks Spanish; her father and paternal grandfather speak Polish, and her mother speaks English. Upon Peyton’s arrival into the world, she was consistently spoken and read to by her respective relatives. When Peyton began Kindergarten, she spoke at an age appropriate developmental level.

She may not always enjoy the attention, but it’s time to highlight another standout contributor to Kendall Hunt in our Employee Spotlight! Meet Kristy Kelly. We know her as the Senior Operations Support Assistant, but her friends and family know her as a sarcastic, cat loving, motorcycle riding, die-hard Cubs fan. Growing up in Durango, Iowa, she graduated from Hempstead High School and Magna Cum Laude from Clarke College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Within her position at Kendall Hunt, Kristy wears many hats.

Watson, John

John Watson is an artist and educator working in sculpture, installation, and drawing. He has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Webster University. Watson served on the faculty in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, MO from 2004-2012 and in the Department of Art at Belmont University in Nashville, TN from 2013-2016. He taught courses in sculpture, three-dimensional design, drawing, installation art, and artist professional practices.
