Mare Sullivan has used POGIL strategies and activities since 2005 in grades 7 – 12 and in graduate teacher education courses. She has contributed to six collections of POGIL activities and has facilitated nearly 100 teacher education workshops and conference presentations across the U.S. and internationally. Not being an intuitive artist herself, Mare wishes that she could have learned the elements of art through the cooperative learning, guided
inquiry framework of this collection.

Illustrator and co-author Gwen C. Katz is a full-time artist and author. She experienced learning in a POGIL environment during high school and has illustrated three prior collections of POGIL activities. She proposed this activity collection to provide art teachers with the kind of cooperative learning, guided inquiry activities she wished her teachers had used during her own introductory art courses.

Steve Parscale is the Chief Accreditation Officer for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. (ACBSP).

Jason James graduated with his BS in Computer Science (minor in Applied Mathematics) and his MS in Computer Science (Theory emphasis) both from the then University of Missouri at Rolla (UMR) now Missouri University of Science and Technology (MST). While working on his PhD (Artificial Intelligence emphasis; ABD), Jason taught introductory programming to engineering students using both FORTRAN and C++.

Cassandra L. Baker, PhD, holds the position of Professor of Business Management at Gwinnett Technical College. Beyond her academic role, she also serves as the CEO of Sugar Hill Research Group, where she lends her expertise to businesses seeking solutions for a wide range of challenges, with a focus on enhancing their operations and achieving their objectives.
