Larry G. Brown, PhD is Assistant Professor Emeritus of Human Geography and former Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Geography at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Vankita Brown has a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Howard University. She is currently a Research Social Scientist the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) where she leads the societal impacts component on National Service Assessment Teams evaluating the decision-making and behavior of stakeholders during significant weather events. Her research focuses on risk communication to vulnerable populations, specifically examining cultural nuances that influence perception and behavioral response to weather events.

He is currently an Associate Professor of Sociology with Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW), in Americus, Georgia. Anthony Gary Dworkin, PhD is Professor Emeritus of Sociology, co-founder of the Sociology of Education Research Group (SERG), and former chair of the Department of Sociology, The University of Houston, USA. Currently, he is Immediate Past-President of Research Committee 04 (Sociology of Education) of the International Sociological Association. Jackie Eller is an emerita professor of sociology with Middle Tennessee State University. Her areas of interest continue to include social deviance, gender studies, and the sociology of emotions. During her career at MTSU she served as Dean of the Graduate College, Interim Vice Provost for Research, Chair of the Sociology/Anthropology Department at MTSU, President of the Mid-South Sociological Association, Director of Women’s Studies at MTSU, and Director of the MA in Sociology. Stan Ingman, PhD, is Emeritus Professor of Applied Gerontology at the University of North Texas. He holds degrees in Botany from Miami University, Rural Sociology from Ohio State University and Medical Sociology from University of Pittsburgh. As Director of the Center for Public Service at the University of North Texas, he designed a healthy neighborhood program in 1995 that was installed in South Dallas and the Sustainable Communities Review in 1997. He is the current President of Future Without Poverty, Inc.

Natalie J. Johnson earned her Ph.D. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She joined Dalton State College in Dalton, GA in 2012 as an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and is soon to be promoted to Full Professor in 2023. She is avidly involved in engaging students through taking them to conferences and study abroad programs. She has taught abroad in London, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Spain. Her passion in teaching and research is family violence and victimology.
